Executive Creative Director
Dustin Mattock
15+ years of creative direction across games and entertainment. I've built original IP from concept to Epic Games Store exclusive, directed campaigns for Disney, HBO, and Netflix, and co-founded and sold a studio along the way.
I co-founded ANIMAL, where I originated, co-created, and directed RAWMEN, an original IP I built from early concept into a free-to-play live-service title that secured an Epic Games Store exclusivity partnership. I owned the creative vision end-to-end: IP development, tone, art direction, visual identity, player experience, and brand ecosystem. I led a 20+ person distributed team across 10+ countries through a 4-year development cycle from pre-production through live operations, directing all trailers and key creative assets. The studio was ultimately acquired.
Before games, I directed creative at BLT Communications for the biggest entertainment brands in the world, including Disney, HBO, Netflix, Sony, and Fox, shaping the tonal identity and campaign worlds for properties like Avengers: Age of Ultron, True Detective, and Better Call Saul across theatrical, digital, and print. That entertainment discipline is now central to how I approach game IP: as a living brand with an audience relationship, not just a product with a feature roadmap.
I lead from the front end of a product. I establish creative vision, define the language and identity of a world, and align cross-functional teams across creative, design, production, and publishing around a unified experience that holds from gameplay to world to brand to player. I understand development realities and the frameworks teams work within. I adapt creative direction to fit production constraints, and I know when and how to push those constraints once I understand them.
Currently exploring the right creative leadership opportunity, whether that's in-house at a studio or in an advisory and consulting capacity.
